Telesales Executive

Phoenix Theatre Group is looking for a Telesales Executive to work within the promotions side of our business. The roles main objective is booking dates at venues for our roster of touring productions including Pop Divas Live! and Boogie Wonderland.

The successful candidate would be responsible for:

  • Contact potential and existing venues about the portfolio of shows actively touring
  • Answer questions about shows from a technical, customer and artistic point of view
  • Ask questions to understand venue requirements and that of their customer base
  • Enter and update venue, customer and sales information in the Zoho CRM system
  • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information in the Zoho CRM system
  • Take and process bookings in an accurate manner up to contract stage
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets as agreed

The successful candidate would need to show a good level of knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Proven experience in telesales or telephone customer service role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone systems
  • Ability to learn about the show portfolio and describe/explain them to venues
  • Excellent knowledge of verbal and written English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm nature and able to handle rejection
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues

Group Administrator

Phoenix Theatre Group is looking for a Group Administrator to work across the four key areas of our business.

The successful candidate would be responsible for:

  • Phoenix Theatre School
    • Handling incoming enquiries for students for both theatre school classes and summer schools
    • Marketing administration including website updates, social media and administration of print materials
    • Issue of all marketing communications to students via email
    • Follow up all trial sessions undertaken by students
    • Administer all website merchandise sales
    • Coordinating the Jack Petchy Foundation Achievement Awards
  •  Phoenix Theatre Arts and Phoenix Theatre Promotions
    • Marketing administration including website updates, social media and administration of print materials
    • Provide venues with all technical documentation for touring production and ensure confirmation of receipt
    • Generate new contracts on completion of bookings provided by the Bookings Team and ensure all contracts are signed and stored within the CRM system
    • Create and update records and databases within the companies CRM system
  • Finance
    • Data entry to Sage accountancy software for sales invoices, purchase invoices and receipts
    • Issue all invoices for the Group
    • Credit control for the whole Group
  •  General
    • Keep stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary
    • Assist with HR tasks
    • General administration tasks for the company directors

Touring Company Manager

Phoenix Theatre Group is looking for a Touring Company Manager to work with one of our UK wide touring theatre shows, Pop Divas Live!.

The role involves travelling with the cast for each show having overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the performance and associated tasks. The dates for both these productions will predominately be single night visits to theatre venues at weekends and during school holidays.

There are currently 17 confirmed dates in the remainder of 2019 and 30 in 2020.

The successful candidate, due to the nature of the role, will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be physically fit, the role involves occasional heavy lifting
  • Hold a full UK driving licence with less than 7 penalty points
  • Be over 25 (for insurance purposes)
  • Have an interest and/or experience in theatre and the performing arts
  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not required

The role will be paid on a show daily rate, main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Driving the cast to and from the performance venue (a company vehicle is provided)
  • Assisting with the get in and get out of the show
  • Ensuring costumes and props are prepared for each performance
  • Liaising with venue staff to set up merchandise and signing positions
  • Selling merchandise before, during and after the performance
  • Responsibility for cashing up all merchandise take
  • Preparing post reports about the performance to management

Daily rate dependent on experience.

Phoenix Theatre School has been established since 2008 and is part of the Phoenix Theatre Group that also produces both local and national touring productions. The school has an impressive list of alumni who have gone on to train and work in the industry at the highest level, many of whom return to assist in the development and training of the current students.

Youth Theatre Tutor – Hertfordshire/Essex

Phoenix Theatre Group is looking for a creative and dynamic Youth Theatre Tutor to work alongside the Creative Director to develop the Intermediate and Senior age theatre training section of Phoenix Theatre School (School Year 7 to School Year 12).

The ideal candidate will have a recognised teaching qualification and/or performing arts training with a proven track record in similar class delivery. It is planned that the initial contract will be for 2.5 hours a week in Bishop’s Stortford commencing in September, but the school has plans to develop the Youth Theatre in both Harlow and Saffron Walden and other project-based work will be available for the right candidate.

As an enhanced DBS check is essential to this position the successful candidate must either provide one or be willing to get one once appointed.

Assistant Primary Drama Tutor – Saffron Walden branch

Phoenix Theatre Group is looking for a creative and dynamic Assistant Primary Drama Tutor to work alongside our Head of Primary at our new Phoenix Theatre School branch in Saffron Walden (KS1 aged children).

The position would suit a gap year student with an interest in performing arts or someone with formal drama training. It is planned that the initial contract will be for 3 hours a week in Saffron Walden commencing in September, but the school has two other primary branches and other project-based work will be available for the right candidate.

An enhanced DBS check is essential to this position the successful candidate must either provide one or be willing to get one once appointed.
