We are delighted that we have welcomed new students to our new branch of Phoenix Theatre School in Saffron Walden! Our new home on a Wednesday is the R A Butler Academy in South Road, Saffron Walden, where we are running exciting new classes for Fledglings and Primary aged students. Come and join the Phoenix Carnival!


This year Phoenix Theatre School will have a float in the Bishop’s Stortford Carnival and early in the new term we will asking for volunteers from our the School to dress as theatre characters for our float. Bishop’s Stortford Carnival is always a lot of fun and ends at Sworder’s Field with a Fun Day for all the family, with a fun fair, stalls, live music, theatrical performances and dance until 5pm. If you would like to take part in the carnival, please keep a look out for our email early next term.

Harrison Houghton hits the West End stage!


Phoenix Primary Drama student Harrison Houghton has landed a part in The Hunt at the Almeida Theatre, in London’s West End, from June to August 2019. Directed by Rupert Gould and written by David Farr (The Night Manager, Spooks) the play is about the children of a small community in Northern Denmark and Harrison, aged 10, plays a boy called Peter.
