A vision of 2020 from Razed Roof Theatre Company

Razed Roof is an inclusive performance group of people with, and without, Learning Difficulties and Disabilities based in Harlow. Phoenix Creative Director Phil Dale was instrumental in establishing them at Harlow Playhouse where they are still based. The lockdown has hit all theatre groups hard, but perhaps groups like Razed Roof the hardest.

Having established weekly zoom sessions for their members they recently collaborated with Becky Coote: a student from The Central School of Speech and Drama who is an aspiring young playwright and musician. Working with Becky they have created this vision of their past year.

Creative Director Phil Dale commented “The work that Razed Roof do is so valuable and I’ve always been a huge fan. Their production of The Flood still ranks as one of my top 5 theatre experiences of all time. It’s so great to see that they’re managing to create work during such a difficult time for all of us in this industry”.
