The school is moving to a new venue from this Wednesday (28th April 2021). The school will be moving to All Saints Primary School on Parsonage Lane in Bishop’s Stortford with all classes held at the same time. Coronavirus Lockdown Update – March 2021


We are delighted to announce that following the latest announcements from the government regarding the Coronavirus Lockdown we have been given the green light to return to classes in person at all our theatre school venues from 12th April. From Wednesday 14th April classes will return at the same times in Bishop’s Stortford and Saffron Walden. From Saturday 17th April our classes in Harlow will return. All returns to venues will depend on reaching stage 2 of the government’s plans to ease lockdown.

Spring Term Update


Following the Government’s movement of all our current branch regions (Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, and Saffron Walden) into Tier 4 all branches we will not be able to hold physical classes. Our theatre school is only permitted to run in this way when in tiers 1 – 3. All classes will revert to online classes via Zoom until the restrictions are lifted. November Lockdown Update


Following the latest announcement from the government regarding a further lockdown to take place between Thursday 5th November and Wednesday 2nd December Phoenix Theatre School classes will revert to online classes via Zoom for the duration of this period to enable us to continue with the progression of our Christmas projects. All classes in Bishop’s Stortford and Saffron Walden will take place on Wednesday 4th November as normal. We anticipate that classes will resume on Wednesday 2nd December in physical format. Phoenix Theatre Group is delighted to announce that Phoenix Theatre School will return to classes in person from Saturday 12th September. The first classes for our Harlow branch will be on Saturday 12th September and both our Fledglings and our Kidz classes will be held at a brand new venue, St Alban’s Primary School, which is just a stones throw from our previous home at Burnt Mill Academy. Saffron Hall Showcase & Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Update 13 March 2020


Following our statement yesterday regarding the Saffron Hall Showcase which stated that the event would proceed as planned we have a further update this afternoon. We have decided to postpone the showcase due to be held this Sunday at Saffron Hall. We have been monitoring the situation on an hour by hour basis and given there had been a trend towards cancelling large scale events both here in the UK and abroad we feel it is in the best interests of all involved to not hold the showcase as planned.
